[10mm minis] Painting tips: base-coating + base-washing / Lavis noir sur sous-couche blanche

Pour la préparation des figurines, j'utilise une sous-couche blanche (en bombe, marque Prince August) sur laquelle j'applique un lavis d'encre noire games workshop (Nuln Oil). Je combine ainsi les avantages d'une sous-couche blanche qui compense le faible pouvoir de recouvrement de certaines teintes acryliques et de la sous-couche noire qui permet un bon contraste entre les différentes parties de la figurine. Le lavis permet aussi de faire ressortir les détails de la figurine et de faciliter la peinture.

For minis preparation, I use a white undercoat on which I apply a wash of black ink from games workshop (Nuln Oil). I combine therefore the advantages of a white undercoat that compensates for the low coverage of some acrylic paints and the black underlay that allows a good contrast between the different parts of the mini. The wash also brings out the details of the figurine and ease the painting.
